Just when you thought that the powers-that-be had run out of ways to hamper the Katrina Relief efforts, comes word out of Houston that an FCC approved low-power radio station to provide information for survivors has been prevented from going on the air.
Sony Entertainment has donated 10,000 radios and Prometheus Radio jumped through the regulatory hoops to get FCC approval to transmit information to the survivors. Instead, the Joint Operation Center has refused to allow Katrina Aftermath Media Project (KAMP) to begin transmissions.
