C-Span Schedule
Al Gore's speech on constitutional abuses will be shown on C-Span this Monday, at 12 noon. Thanks to all who wrote to them!
I have absolutely no doubt that once again Mr. Gore will deliver a truthful, eloquent, and hardhitting speech regarding the blatant Constitutional abuses of the Bush administration. I read that he is going to mention Richard Nixon in this speech. If true, that in my mind conjures up two intimations.
One, that Bush and his entire gang of thugs should resign in order to save themselves the disgrace of impeachment. Or, that the Republican lapdogs who have condoned and abided these abuses finally grow a conscience, and act with the best interests of this nation first instead of their own. And unfortunately, that also includes some Democrats as well.
Either way, we once again will see a true American Patriot standing up to speak the words that we all should be shouting as concerned Americans : That the balance between liberty and safety cannot and must not be abused, or it is all lost.
I am also so grateful to him for doing this, because he doesn't have to do it. He is a private citizen now, but one who not only cares for the preservation of our planet, but the preservation of those principles which help preserve our planet and our country.
Therefore, this speech is made all the more powerful by the fact that Al Gore is sincere, and is not using this speech to further a selfish political agenda. I certainly then hope it will not be degraded by some as such.
Thank you to all who contacted C-Span, as they never cover his speeches anymore. I wrote them three days ago, and I am sure there were hundreds that followed. Well, for our President, he is worth every single one and more.
I'm looking forward to hearing this speech, and I am proud of him for coming though all he has and being the man he is. May his words inspire those who need to take action to do exactly that.
And I also do not normally ask for my diaries to be recommended. I am requesting that this one be, simply because those who may have sent letters to have this speech covered, may not know it is being covered otherwise.
Thank you, and give them Hell, Mr. President!
