I recently posted
a diary that was met with all the vitriol I expected when it was posted. The funny thing was, the only substantive objections were that I had called Democrats losers and assholes, used a "freeper" term ("Democrap," which I frankly had no idea was a freeper term since I can't bear to visit that site), and made a comment (not even part of the diary) that I opposed the invasion of Afghanistan, apparently a fringe position despite the deplorable results of that action.
Long story short: I was told that the Democratic Party does not represent me.
Fine, then don't BLAME me when you don't get my vote. You have no one to blame but yourselves.
You are encouraged to scroll down to the bottom of the diary referenced above and read my final comments.
Read on if you dare.
I am no longer a Democrat. This does not mean that I will never again vote for a Democrat. It means that I will no longer vote for "Democrats" that betray our nation; these "Democrats" fall into two camps:
weaklings who refuse to fight out of political expedience and
wolves in sheep's clothing, DINOS (Democrats In Name Only) who happily sell us down the river at every opportunity.
So, thank you, Mr. "You, sir, are no Democrat" and your ilk. I will change my registration forthwith, and the next time people blame Nader for their own crappy campaign that refuses to acknowledge the non-militaristic wing of the party, I shall raise my middle finger in your direction and say, "But you said it yourself: I am no Democrat!"
That's all you really need to know. The rat wing has found a way to accommodate their radicals. You refuse to even consider the patently obvious truth that the Afghanistan invasion was a mistake. Therefore, you ("we" I should say, being one who favors taxes on the rich, controls on big business, universal health care, reduced military spending [is that a "we" thing or just a radical left winger thing?], renewable energy, civil liberties, the Constitution, and most things that Democrats once stood for) will continue to lose because you do not represent me and millions of others like me.
So the heck with you, you milquetoast fools. I think I'll print a bumper sticker: "Don't blame me, the Democrats said they didn't represent me!"
