Oh, dude! Like the monkey said when he backed into the fan: It won't be long now!
Carbon all over the inside of a Mars rock that was recently cracked open for the first time. Let's quickly review, shall we? Solid rock. Cracked open. Carbon all over the inside of the rock.
No way that carbon from the Earth could coat the little spaces in the interior of a rock that has been in a museum since it fell to Earth in Egypt in 1911. The meteor that fell broke up into many pieces, and they were quickly gathered up and held in museums. They were not soaked in oil or melted then laced with carbon. Nope.
While the scientists say that they're not sure how the carbon got there, it is impossible that the carbon is from Earth, and as we all know from school (at least, those of us old enough to have actually had real science, and not religion in science class), carbon comes from carbon-based organic life.
Is it too much to hope that, one day, science will be taught again, or are we relegated to shamanism and superstition?
