What a fantastic and fascinating planet we live on. While we continue to send craft to explore other worlds, Mother Nature continues to surprise us and amaze us with wonders right on our own doorstep.
Who was not interested in the news about the discovery of previously unknown animal species in Indonesia? An exploration has recently released incredible photos of birds and frogs, the likes of which we have never seen before. In one of the world's last unspoiled, unsullied rain forests, new life emerges - including a frog that must be the winner for the worlds ugliest creature competition (putting Dick Cheney into second place).
Our oceans continue to harbor unexplored worlds and fantastical sealife. I for one am truly grateful that we can enjoy - from a distance - these natural splendors. Of course, the presence of new species and natural habitats demands that we begin immediatly drilling for oil in them, raping them for corporate profit and that we send troops straight away in case these unexplored areas harbor potential terrorists.
Just for once, leave these areas and animals alone - take photos and not liberties.
