I'm hearing reports that Bush is now trying to say he was unaware of the approval of the Dubai Deal.
How can you be unaware of something like that, yet when challenged on it by Congress, you respond by threatening a veto, should Congress Critters actually put together a legislative deal to kill the selling of American Ports to the United Arab Emirates?
It is also speculated over at Americablog (
http://www.americablog.com)that Bush may be trying to push this deal through because the Arabians have something on him that he doesn't want the American people to know. Could that "something" be an impeachable offense; one that not even the stauchest of his wingnut supporters in the House or in the Senate, can refuse the request to draft up articles of actual impeachment?
First, Bush says he's going to veto any attempt to block the Dubai Deal.
Then he says he didn't know about the deal.
All I can say is "W-T-F?" Does he honestly believe that the American people are going to believe he didn't know about an issue, but he's willing to cast the first veto in six years to make sure it gets done?
