In the upcoming book "Strategery" Bush apparently claims that the bin Laden tape helped him beat Kerry
Is this all we're left with? We've got an administration and a congress that has (ahem)
made us less safe
increased the likelihood that we'll be attacked by terrorists
increased worldwide terrorism
Started an unnecessary war that has cost billions and thousands of lifes
Bungled the response to 9/11
Broken Federal law
Ignored International treaties that the US is a signatory to (UN Convention Against Torture)
Invented new Constitutional Law about the strength of Article II and pushed it as absolute fact
Outed a CIA operative - a crime George H.W. Bush once analogized to TREASON
So when all of this comes to light - we get fancy little nuggets that aren't based in any reality about how bin Laden doesn't want Bush to be President....
Does anybody else find it curious that THIS is the passage that is getting play in the press? The one that claims, without any serious thought on the topic, that bin Laden wanted John Kerry to be President?
Do you think bin Laden would prefer the guy who was a decorated military veteran as President, or the guy who claimed that he doesn't spend much time thinking about him (bin Laden)?
This BULLSHIT makes me ill. I'm so tired of seeing our media be used as a sieve for and cheap political props that Karl the Turd Blossom sends out.
Edit - Wait a damn minute... Looking at my topic again I thought "gee I wonder if the shoe was on the other foot and the diary said 'Kerry says bin Laden helped him beat Bush'"
There is no clearer example of bias in the media than this. Think about the reaction - it certainly wouldn't be "Bush is such a great terrah fighter that bin Laden is afraid of him" It would be KERRY LOVES BIN LADEN. You know this is exactly how it would come out. The exact same headline is seen as a positive for Bush - but what Bush is basically saying is that bin Laden :hearts: GWB
