I've taken the time to create a PHPBB based
discussion forum for the
Yearly Kos conference to be held in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada from June 8-11th 2006. Please take a few minutes to
visit the forums,
register, and join the discussion.
The forums are divided into three categories as follows: General, Meta, and The Conference. In the General category there is only one forum,
general discussion. This forum is intended for the discussion of any conference related topic that does not fall within the realm of the other categories. In the Meta category there are currently two forums,
hotel sharing and
roll call. The hotel sharing forum provides people an opportunity to arrange for (you guessed it) sharing hotel rooms. This may come in handy for people like me who don't know anyone else who is attending but would rather share a room than pay for the full cost of one myself. The roll call forum provides a state-by-state roll call for people to announce their presence at the conference. I thought it would be interesting to see where everyone is coming from and which states are most represented. The Conference category has four forums:
caucuses,
keynote speeches,
sessions, and
workshops. Each of these addresses a particular aspect of the conference itself and allows people to discuss them prior to, during, and after the conference.
Hopefully this endeavor turns out to be a useful resource both for those attending the conference and for those who can't make it. Again, please take the time to check out the forums and participate in the discussion. Until next time, have fun with it and I'll see you in Las Vegas on the 8th.
