This year's Grassroots All-Star competition started Wednesday and already 10,000 people have voted. Democracy for America compiled a list of thirty three congressional candidates based on a list of people who applied for DFA support, earned the support of local DFA members, have socially progressive and fiscally responsible platforms, and are running for a Republican-held or open seat without a contested primary. The top five finalists will receive $2,000 from the DFA PAC, and the Grassroots All-Star winner will receive a national DFA endorsement.
You can vote here at www.democracyforamerica.com/housevote to decide which progressive candidate will be the next DFA Grassroots All-Star. Each day we'll post the bios of three more candidates, so keep reading to make your choice!
