In today's inspiring and enlightening speech from our peerless leader, Dubya Bush argued that "irresponsible discussion harms the morale of troops overseas, emboldens the insurgents they are fighting and sets a bad example for Iraqis trying to establish a democratic government."
Our Commander in Beef continued:
"In a free society, there's only one check on political speech and that's the judgment of the American people," the president said to sustained applause from a friendly audience, a gathering of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Wait a minute. Maybe he's right. Perhaps our judgment has been way off. Perhaps our words and actions against the war and blatant corruption have been emboldening the insurgents. Lately a lot of evildoers have been doing emboldenish things...perhaps I'm to blame.
So I say no more irresponsible discussions (or any talk at all for that matter) if it is critical or will effect the '06 election, okay folks? No more posting diaries that question the war and no more placing democracy-bashing propaganda on our cars like this:
Instead, let's show the Iraqis the kind of democracy in action that we can all be proud of.
So what will you do to make an Iraqi wish he could be more like an American today? Answer in the poll below.
