Thought it would be nice to update the Kos and readers on the efforts of Labor to elect John Kerry here in Nevada.
You see the polls every day. Don't believe them. We learned that in 2000 and even more so in 2002. Instead look at the massive number of new registrations. The key is the GOTV effort. Labor will have somewhere around 1,000 vols leading up to Election Day. Someone on Kos posted an article about GOP GOTV efforts a few days ago. I wouldn't worry about it. Tom DeLay usually heads up that operation and he has his own problems. Also, Labor will never be outnumbered in GOTV efforts. We're happy to do it for a two good Labor guys like Kerry and Edwards.
Now, early voting has begun and 8,500 more people have voted over the first two days in NV than last time. http://www.lasvegassun.com/sunbin/stories/lv-gov/2004/oct/18/517682164.html
FYI Bush only won NV by 22,000 in 2000. We're on our way.
