A good rule to follow is:
Watch what they DO, not what they SAY.
Frist says:
"If Kerry filibusters, it will make Democrats look bad! Democrats will be hurt by it."
Frist does:
Cloture vote is scheduled for Monday, insuring the shortest possible time for Kerry to build support for 41 votes.
Conclusion:
Frist doesn't want a filibuster.
Analysis:
There are probably close to 41 cloture votes. Perhaps not 39 or 40, but in the mid to high 30's. if Frist thought a filibuster would help GOP Senate races, he would let it run for a short while then cut it off just as Democrats were embarrasing themselves. Rove would CERTAINLY want to do that if it was the case.
Action:
If you have a swing Senator, call them. Especially if you live in MAINE or RHODE ISLAND.
