Dean supporters: Would you support a Clark/Dean ticket?
Clark supporters: Would you support a Dean/Clark ticket?
I ask because these two campaigns have arguably the most potent organizations in the race nationally (Gephardt's confined to the midwest, Edwards to the Southeast, etc) and the synthesis of both of these (assuming they could get along) would probably be the most powerful force to overcome Bush. These arguments have been discussed time and time again, but once more, I ask you to follow just some of the more basic appeals:
- Two candidates from two very different regions of the country.
- Both Washington outsiders.
- VERY powerful grassroots organizations.
- Fast, efficient, small-donor fundraising capability.
- Opted-out of the public-financing system.
- Passion.
There are plenty of other reasons I can mention, but I think you get the idea. So I pose the question to you: Would you support either ticket, even if you don't want that candidate to be nominated as your first choice?
