On his campaign Web site for lieutenant governor of Georgia, Christain Republican Ralph Reed put up the text of his Dec. 9 statements to a right-wing youth group in which he said his opposition to gambling was used by an unnamed lawyer in D.C. (Mike Scanlon) to discredit Indian casinos. He claims, not mentioning the name of Scanlon or Jack Abramoff that his anti-gambling position was used by these guys.
My question now is Ralph Reed smart enough to be trusted with a high office? Is he so dumb that he can be bought off and used?
Finally, after reading his statement, I had to wonder when I should begin feeling sorry for the guy.
