I am not an eloquent diary writer. I just have to get this out here again. In CA-11 we have Richard Pombo, incumbent and anti environmentalist, who is running against Jerry McNerney, a challenger who is bringing fresh and environmental friendly ideas on how to save our world.
We have Pombo who leans to special interests and big oil. He seems to disguise his campaign right now saying that we are spending too much money overseas for oil so we should start exploiting our own county such as Alaska and our beautiful wilderness. He seems to care more about developing land without thought to how our world will sustain ourselves in 50 years. But certainly his family benefits right now. His family has been paid 500,000 dollars out of constituent contribution for their help in "clerical" matters it seems. (his wife, his brother in law) He want's to overhaul the Environmental Protection Act. The list goes on and on with Pombo.
McNerney on the otherhand seems to look at the bigger picture and presenting ideas on how to solve problems with massive...I mean MASSIVE gridlock here in the bay and east bay from Tracy all the way to Stockton. But the gridlock here is not the only thing, it happens everywhere right?
There are many more issues to address here. And the decisions made will not only impact our lives, but our children and grandchildren's and beyond.
I believe Jerry McNerney cares. We need representitives who recognize the huge quagmire of existence people experience out here everyday and attempt to help solve it with us together. I see Jerry McNerney doing that. As for Pombo. I've never met him personally, but he never shows his self around here unless of course it's...

On October 3rd, here in Stockton, California George Bush is joining Pombo in a campaign rally at the Civic Auditorium. From there, Bush ventures up to Rocklin, California for a lunch rally for Dolittle who is another Congressman incumbent that you may be familiar with. On October 5th, Pombo and McNerney will be debating in Tracy, CA for their one and only debate before this election. No time and location posted yet.
Today, I saw four McNerney signs compared to one of Pombo's in Stockton and I was thrilled! That may seem trivial to some, but to me, it's pretty important living in a community that is for the most part conservative. We have people in the bay area being more involved now in this senseless "rule" of Pombo in this area. Alot of that has to do with the fact that Pombo's voting district was rearranged and now his constituents involve more people toward the bay.
This election is so crititcal. I can tell you that Pombo's defeat in November would do more to propel us in a more positive direction as a whole, complete caring world.
I am asking all who live in or near this area...please, please be a part of this in educating your neighbors, calling McNerney's office and finding out what you can do. There is plenty of canvassing going on between now and election day.
We can't take anything for granted anymore folks.
Thanks for reading this and letting me share my message.
I will be canvassing.
