Lew Katz keeps putting the pressure on Lyin' Steve LaTourette. Despite having very little money, he is using radio ads to deliver his message in addition to all the literature, yard signs, and personal appearances.
Meanwhile, LaTourette is relying on a few TV spots and little else. Republican leaders in our community have begged him to speak at Hiram College (Katz has been here three times), but he just won't do it. I'm sure he thinks he has this election in the bag (10-to-1 COH advantage, got 61% in the last election, no polls for this election), but the way Ohio is going these days, don't be so sure.
The ad is running on major radio stations in Northeast Ohio. Click on the image to go to the Katz webpage and hear the ad. Here is the text:
Committed. Lew Katz is committed.
Committed to protecting American jobs.
Committed to securing Iraq and bringing our troops home.
Committed to three house terms because we've had enough of career politicians.
Committed to family.
Committed to country.
Committed to you.
It's time for a truly independent Congressman.
It's time for new leadership in Northeast Ohio.
It's time for Lew Katz.
I'm glad Lew is continuing to get his name out. I think he's a longshot, but every day he and his staff continue to bring his message to the voters. If there ever was a year someone like Katz could win, this is it...
