The Daily News had a
blurb about Senator Hillary Clinton today- about how she has been seen to wear a cross necklace. The article mentioned when they first published the photo, they got a lot of responses on their blog. A lot of responses pointed out the difference between a cross and a crucifix, but there were also a great deal of hate spewed forth towards the Senator:
The devil has been known to wear many faces -- simply changing a piece of religious bling from a Star of David to a cross is no sweat for this Machiavellian shape-shifter.
Fact is, as a liberal, she hates organized religion as much as she hates the military (which is plainly documented).
I'm not sure what the source of the Hillary-haters belief that Hillary is Jewish, but it seems to be a common theme.

Cynics seem to think Hillary is wearing the cross only for political gain, however
"She's actually the real deal, although a lot of people don't think of her as religious," said John Green, a senior fellow at the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life in Washingon.
The Daily News reports she taught Sunday School in Arkansas while her husband was governor. I don't recall ever hearing that before.
The Atlantic Monthly began its article about Hillary by discussing the fact that she regularly attends a prayer breakfast in Washington DC that is also attended by the likes of Brownback and Santorum.
But the first mention of Clinton's public displays of faith unleashed a hail of hate filled comments on the Daily News blog:
She's a Christian when being one will help her politically. She's a jew when being one will help her politically. If it ever comes to that, she will be a Muslim if that will help her politically.
Rest assured -- that cross means as much to her as her Yankee's cap.
There's that Jewish thing again. So these particular Christians don't just hate Christians. I get it. They don't discriminate. They hate Jews and Muslims, too.
Hillary knows that every time she farts, the press is there to take pictures and report on how good it smells. Wearing a cross is not a statement of her deeply held religious beliefs (she has none), it's a statement of her deeply held political ambitions.
There's a special place in Hell for people who use Jesus for personal gain.
We'll see who's at that special place on the day of judgement. I think the writer of the comment may be surprised.
Even Hitler wore crosses and thought he was going to heaven. This woman will go to any length as she has no soul, conscience or mind.
Even George W. Bush wears his faith on his sleeve and thinks he's going to heaven.
I would rather see her on a cross!
That's an interesting take on "Love thy neighbor". I guess I need to go back to Sunday School, there's obviously some lessons I missed.
And, don't get me wrong, there are Christians who are willing to forgive. I never thought I would say it was Brownback, though. From the Atlantic Monthly's article about Clinton:
One spring Wednesday, a few months into the term, Senator Sam Brownback's turn came to lead the group, and he rose intending to talk about a recent cancer scare. But as he stood before his colleagues Brownback spotted Clinton, and was overcome with the impulse to change the subject of his testimony. "I came here today prepared to share about this experience in my life that has caused great suffering, the result of which has deepened my faith," Brownback said, according to someone who watched the scene unfold. "But I'm overcome now with only one thought." He confessed to having hated Clinton and having said derogatory things about her. Through God, he now recognized his sin. Then he turned to her and asked, "Mrs. Clinton, will you forgive me?" Clinton replied that she would, and that she appreciated the apology.
I'm not a Hillary fan. I hope she doesn't run for president in '08, but with all the cash she has on hand, I'm assuming its a foregone conclusion that she plans to. She wouldn't stand a chance in a general election- with all the people who hate her because.... because why? She wears a cross?
