If you live or work in New York City, then
come support Stephen Harrison tonight at 7:30, in his
last debate against Vito Fossella, the only Republican congressman from New York City.
The debate is
tonight (October 24th) at
7:30 at the
Shore Hill Senior Center, 9000 Shore Road (by 90th Street), in Brooklyn.
Here is a map
If you are taking public transportation, you can either take the R train to 95 St/Bay Ridge, then walk and turn left onto 92nd street (toward the water). At 3rd Avenue, the street shifts a little, but stay on 92nd and keep walking toward the water, where you'll eventually find Shore Road. Turn right and walk over to 9000 Shore Road. It's around a 10-15 minute walk.
OR
You can take the R train to 86th Street, and then get on the B16 bus toward Ft. Hamilton. The B16 will drop you off right next to the senior center.
Stephen Harrison needs all your support! He has been gaining momentum lately, as evidenced by his CQ upgrade and his appearance on MSNBC today, along with his front-page status on Daily Kos yesterday.
In past debates, Fossella's henchmen have been rude and obnoxious (big surprise there) in the audience. We need to show that Harrison speaks for us, not Fossella and his Bush/Abramoff/Cheney pals.
This race can be won, but it will require effort from us, the grassroots. The national party has not given Harrison adequate support, and the press has blown off the race as well.
Harrison's campaign has raised $100,000, as opposed to Fossella's $1.8 million smear chest. We need genuine people power to fund this race (a few extra bucks would help to!)
Start by showing your support tonight, at the last debate!
