The next handful of days until the November Midterm will be treacherous and will likely contain measures by the GOP and its candidates that will submerge by great distances any stretch of most of our imaginations on how low they will sink to squeak by.
We see it today with George Allen's preposterous accusations about Jim Webb's writing. Further, we see it with Lynne Cheney's despicable "better get your flak jacket" claims and "retaliations" to questions about her louse of a husband and her own writings.
(Please note that her `children's' book is nothing more than an attempt to dupe the ignorant once again into mistaking nationalism for patriotism.)
On Sunday at, oh let's say about 11:40ish, it begins:
The last desperate blitz of the Republican scourge. The week that follows will be a monsoon of crappily Photoshopped, poorly typeset, badly mixed, badly produced, duplicitous, utter bullls**t from the GOP. This will likely be the ugliest end game of any political season in history. Therefore, all of us must contribute to our mandate to keep our party on the offense. For, the offense is our rightful place and it is the GOP, who has done so much, frankly: evil, that it has no rightful place on the offense of anything.
The candidates must reflect a persona of civility above the savagery of the contemporary Republican Party. These ill-fit leaders have blatantly abused the vast majority of their constituents on every level and they should be reminded of it every single day. They must be given opposing candidates that they can look to and respect despite any fraction of ideological difference within the whole of our beloved Democratic candidates.
They must be reminded that they, in fact, have an alternative and further a better choice than the scoundrels who have played their fears and treated them like sheep for far too long.
Mr. Webb should make absolutely no apology for his writing. A work of fiction is not published if it is empty of extremity. Moreover, a soldier with firsthand recollection of the horrors of war is required to explain nothing to a "student deferred" coward ("coward" is appropriate here because Allen spoke in support of the Viet Nam War; yet, did not serve.)
As for Lynne Cheney, (pardon my French) there is a word for her and it begins with the letter "C." It truly must be awful for a woman to go through life knowing that she is what she is. However, I find it impossible to pity her as she (and her twisted circle) has made my life hell in many aspects.
"And for us?" you ask. We must be the attackers for the next week. We must retaliate in every possible way. Our candidates need for us to step up the writing and saturate the blogosphere, newspapers, radios, and televisions with our own accounts of the effects of six years of oppression and downright madness under the scourge of the contemporary Republican Party.
If your conservative friend speaks of "Republicans better protect against terror," you must call him a fool.
If your conservative friend talks about "Republicans lower taxes," you must remind her of the enormous deficit, preceding it with a comment questioning whether or not she is a fool.
Values? - "Hypocrisy" - "Fool"
Jesus? - "Render unto Caesar..." - "Fool"
And so on.
The non-genius, Karl Rove, (trust me) has nothing if he does not have the foolishness of ignorant voters to manipulate. Nor can he muster a single thing more than a handful of salami to toss at the wall until something sticks. Knowing this, it is our charge to slap the consciousness back into the sleepy masses once and for all. Because our candidates are in direct aim of Rove's deli toss, all of us must do our best in our writings, callings, video projects, etc. to marginalize a powerful, however worthless man and his full frontal assault using any lie his neck-less head can conjure.
The best of luck to all of our home-stretch candidates! We're here for you.
