This is from a post front paged at Americablog

I am posting it as a diary here because I think that "Axis of Failure" is an inspired political slogan that perfectly captures the failures of Bushevik foreign policy and which deserves to be used generally in the course of the next month to counteract the attempts of Busheviks to:
1) change the subject from Masturgate
2) conflate failure in North Korea with the WOT and use both to inspire the Fear and Cowardice conditioned response from the American Voter that they evoked so masterfully in '02 and '04.
A few tidbits from the Americablog post:
Let's call North Korea what it is: a part of President Bush's Axis of Failure. Since he bizarrely linked North Korea, Iran, and Iraq nearly a half-decade ago, North Korea has almost certainly acquired nuclear capabilities, Iran has become more militant and more powerful, and we've turned Iraq into a terrorist-producing failed state. Axis of Failure. North Korea is the product of miserably failed policy, and now we're seeing the results of the incoherent and ineffective Bush doctrine.
And this from Josh Marshall:
The Bush-Cheney policy on North Korea was always what Fareed Zakaria once aptly called "a policy of cheap rhetoric and cheap shots." It failed. And after it failed President Bush couldn't come to grips with that failure and change course. He bounced irresolutely between the Powell and Cheney lines and basically ignored the whole problem hoping either that the problem would go away, that China would solve it for us and most of all that no one would notice.
I for one remember very well how Bush humiliated a Nobel Laureate, Kim Dae Jung, by ridiculing his "Sunshine Policy" of intensive diplomacy and economic integration with the North (in a joint speech that was covered internationally), with President Kim standing right next to him on the podium.
I date my complete and utter disgust with everything about Bush to that day (which was some time before 9/11, I forget just when)
