In addition, Sen. John Kerry's "botched joke" about the war in Iraq attracted enormous attention. Fully 84% of voters say they have heard a lot or a little about Kerry's remarks with 60% saying they have heard a lot. By comparison, just 26% say they have heard a lot about President Bush's statement that he will keep Donald Rumsfeld as secretary of defense until he leaves office in 2009. Most voters say Kerry's statement is not a serious consideration in their vote, but 18% of independent voters say it did raise serious doubts about voting for a Democratic candidate.

Well notice we went from saying "oh 20-23pts, thats too high for a generic ballot number, a more serious number would be a 15pt advantage"
Now we have a:
4, 6 and 7 pt advantage...man averaged out thats barely what the Republicans had in 94 and there were 100 open seats and no ridiculous gerrymandering or the complete stupidity of Democrats in 1994 who didn't prepare
That's just great, riding high, everything going great, and John Kerry and the media go and fucked it up
Our average shrunk from about 15-18 to like 5-6...wonderful
I am sure some guy calling a concern troll will say "oh the voters are just coming home..." BS that didn't happen in 94, which means this isn't anything like 94 and all your dream candidates are going to lose, except the few who will win in conservatives districts that will just get swept back to the GOP in 2008
Just again, right on the eve of a major victory, the Democratic Party snatches defeat from its jaws
There is not one god damn reason why we shouldn't have captured the Senate, and won 40+ house seats
Now we are going to limp in, our majority relying on seats like TX-22 who are obviously going to flip in 2008 baring a miracle, and the GOP will blame the Democratic House for everything, Bush will appoint new judges in his GOP Senate, and we can all give a round of applause to John Kerry and our media
Just please, Kos, don't fucking endorse anyone ever again, its just a curse...look at what is happening to Jon Tester who should have won in a walk...Lamont who should have beat Lieberman...all you do is make the DLC look good
But don't let me be an optomist, let's celebrate all the conservative democrats we're about to elect in the House, to drive the party more towards the right. And oh yeah, Sherrod Brown who voted for the detainee bill, Bob Casey anti-abortion, and possible conservative or two in the south
This is another year the Democratic Party becomes more the party of Joe Lieberman and less the party of Paul Wellstone, its a shame
