USA Today has
now released six states of Senate polls. Looks much better than the Mason-Dixon round: if these results match Tuesday's vote we seem to have
five pickups.
In Missouri, McCaskill up by four. In Montana, it's Tester by nine(!). In RI, Whitehouse by three-- tight but still a lead. In NJ, Menendez up by ten. In VA, Webb behind by three-- not as good as other polls, but still a race. And in TN, Ford down by three: considerably tighter than recent polls of doom.
One caveat: though Gallup/USAT's national polls have LVs, these polls are of RVs, and RV polling tends to favor us. But the Mason-Dixon polls were RVs too. Maybe it's too hard to poll LVs at the state level? Anyway, by and large, good news. Keep up the GOTV!
