About a month ago, the polls showed that the Democratic Party was well on its way to a decisive win in the midterm elections. Now, with new poll, the lead that was once 13 and 11 points, is now down to 4.
Tight? You bet. The Republican party knows what's at stake. The loss of power. They've mobilized their sheep and have now pulled within striking distance.
Scared? Sort of. I do believe the Democrats will pull off a victory in the House, but, the Kerry botched joke gave me new suspicion as to whether or not the Democratic party is capable of closing.
The Republican party has been exposed as a lying sack of no-good hypocrites who'll sell out anyone and anything (including the Constiution) in order to keep their grip onto the power they've abused.
Okay, with all that this should be a breeze for the Democrats. Not likely. That's why there's no reason to declare victory at all until the final result tomorrow night.
However, with the election winding down, I would like to help the Democrats close this contest with a victory by offering some much needed advice:
Okay, Democrats listen up, cause I'm only going to say these things one time and one time only.
When a simple-minded moron like Senator Elisabeth Dole says that the "Democrats are content with losing in Iraq"
You say: Senator Dole with all due respect, you're full of shit.
We lost. We've lost ever since George Bush took us into Iraq for Weapons of Mass Destruction that didn't even exist. Over 100 U.S. Soliders died in Iraq during the month of October. If that's victory in Iraq, I sure as hell would not want to see what a loss really looks like.
When a chicken-hawk talk show host like Sean Hannity says that preventing Nancy Pelosi from being House Speaker is worth dying for.
You say to Sean: You first.
This election isn't about Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco politics. It's about the failed "Contract with America" that's turned this nation into a pigsty. The Republicans have done much more harm and will continue to do so if they're still given that power. No, it's not something to die for, but it's worth getting off our asses and going to the polls.
When Donald Rumsfeld says to war critics to "back off"
You say: Fuck you.
Under your leadership, Rummy, we've ethnically cleansed the place by making it unlivable. Are soldiers continue to be picked off every other day, and you have the gall to say, "back off"? Hey, I got something for you to say to the American people. "Ladies and Gentleman, I quit."
When Vice President Cheney says that it doesn't matter what the public thinks
You say: With all due respect Mr. Vice President, that last heart attack must've took part of your brain. Of course it matters what we think. The best we have to offer is being killed in a country in order to fatten the wallets of the fat cats at the Haliburton Inc. Dick Cheney has done more harm to the welfare of our country by turning it into his own corporate entity. He's nothing more than a merciless businessman who sees dollars and cents, and not the blood on his hands.
And, when Chris Matthews says that a Democratic victory would look bad for the President and World Diplomacy,
You say to Chris: Stop sniffing King George's crotch and crawl right back into reality. The fact that the MSM is campaigning for this piece of garbage is amazing. President Bush is a clear and present danger to not only his country, but to the world itself. He's enhanced terrorism by invading Iraq and turned a blind eye to North Korea as it tested a Nuclear Weapon, all the while focusing on Iran. To see George Bush wallow in mediocrity would be a defining moment. The man is nothing more than a son of a flithy rich daddy who was handed the position of President by the Supreme Court. Instead of feeling sorry for him, we should laugh at him as he tries to fix the mess he's created. Yes, to old-fashion people, disrespecting the President might be a bad thing, but in the case of George Bush, watching him languish in mediocrity might cure what ails this country.
Democrats this is what you should be saying. Staying silent and watching the Crooked Republicans bounce back isn't going to win you an election. Not in a election with the entire country's well-being in the balance.
