The John Kerry flap. This diary isn't about that per se. It's about the media masturbating furiously over and blatantly trying to make this election about this subject.
George Bush is all over the place lying to Americans about what Kerry said/meant and hoping that Americans care enough about to forget what really matters....
Now we'll see if America is truly a nation of thoughtful, intelligent adults that won't be distracted by a poorly told joke.
We'll see if we're smart enough to know that Bush and his Republican enablers are simply trying to distract us. That they have NOTHING to talk about to convince us to vote for them, so they're using Kerry as a distraction. They're saying:
"Don't vote Democratic because John Kerry can't tell jokes!"
We'll see if Americans are smart enough to be offended that their intelligence is being insulted in this way. Can we ignore the medias blaring of this issue and focus on what's important, Iraq? 105 of our soldiers died last month, and we're supposed to up in arms over a bad joke? Are we that vacuous and soulless? Are we that shallow and heartless? Are we that STUPID?
I'm praying that we're not. I'm reading all over the 'net that Kerry's flub "lost it for the Democrats". If that's true, then Americans are truly ignorant and deserve all the Republican wickedness that will surely follow their victory.
But I look at this as an opportunity. An opportunity for Americans to show just how intelligent, thoughtful and FOCUSED we are and see through this fog. We will turn out in droves on the 7th and vote these demons out of office.
Let us pray..
