This is my first diary in a looooong time folks. It will be a quickie too.
I was thinking about poor Ned Lamont today at work (oh the joy of an uncomplicated job) and it occurred to me we don't REALLY need Joe Leiberman to have control of the senate...
(more on the flipside)
then I saw this
today
So if Linc Chafee can lose an election and publicly muse about switching parties to have a chance at another office, which moderate Republican is a better fit for our values than Sore Loserman?
How much effort would it really take to convince someone with moderate/liberal leanings like ... Olympia Snowe ... to switch parties and save us from the disgrace of caucusing with Joe "I am not a Democrat except when its convenient for me" Leiberman? After all, there are lots of perks for caucusing in the majority, and its not like the psychos in the Republican Party are giving her lots of love...
How sweet would it be to tell Joe "sorry dude, we don't need ya, why don't you go caucus with the rest of the C-Leiberman delegation"?
Is this a campaign worth waging?
Am I whistling past the graveyard?
