Thanksgiving also has a tradition of gratitude. There is even research that shows an attitude of gratitude brings about good health.
So....
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
~ Melody Beattie ~
So, with the idea of improving states of mind and as a tribute to the holiday I wanted to know what are you grateful for?
Some of the things I'm grateful for are that both James Webb and Jon Tester were elected to the Senate. I'm grateful both were supported by the netroots too.
I'm grateful that we might get our nation back. I'm grateful I worked hard this year to do what I could to change the direction of the country. I am especially grateful so many new candidates talked about fixing the United States trade policy...and won as a result.
I'm grateful we might finally see sanity soon on foriegn policy, we have a chance. I'm grateful for Scoop and Drupal open source software for enabling anyone who wants to have a voice in politics.
Finally, I'm grateful I know how to cook a turkey.
