For many, this is probably second nature. But for new dKos'ers and those not in the know, a good point.
I tend to find that Action Agendas on here are calls for quick action. Often they are to promote calls to Congressman, Senators, protests, donations, etc.
I believe they can also be used to our advantage regarding media exposure.
Nagul35's diary
Dean Yahoo article freeped: Take action! presented a quick call to arms about an article on Yahoo about Dean quickly being down-recommended.
For those not familiar, on Yahoo, and surely other sites, an article can be 'Recommended' (1-5) for content, basically. The more 4's and 5's an article get, the better chance it stays on front page locations, or gets moved back to front page locations, where it can be quickly and easily seen.
This type of action, IMHO, fills by full definition, an Action Agenda. This is a great way to keep certain media stories, opinions, and responses in the limelight longer, for more people to read and gather information.
My suggestion is that anyone who sees an article of importance that works on this 'Recommend' machine post it as an Action Agenda with a title denoting it's importance.
Ex. Action Agenda! Vote for Dean Article!
Action Agenda! Article on EPA cuts!
etc.
And do not forget to link to the article so everyone can find it quick and easily.
You get the picture.
Credit due, also, to Nagul35 (help him out - visit his diary and vote for Dean) for posting his diary and giving me the idea to diary this.
Comments, criticism, (mojo?) accepted.
