Watching a TV show, some politician being interviewed about his views on feminism, choice, job equality, and so on. His final retort was " I ask my wife and she tells me what I think."
I laughed along with the audience, but having read Koestler on laughter, I got to thinking why that was funny.
Then the pie wars were brought up today on dKos and someone mentioned that Kos had some opinions that seemed at the time to be infuriating to a large segment of the female posters.
Here's the question:
Has your view changed on these matters, on reflection, and do you think we could, having reflected, bring up this subject again, work on it, and heal the wounds?
I'm sure that Kos has learned a lot, what with being a Daddy, and having to give some time and effort to parenting in general. I sure have. My views have changed a lot since I grew up and had kids.
Have yours? Should we revisit, and improve, or continue to shy away from it like a horse from a snake? I'm for resolving it, and bringing the women back. We need them.
