I'm not sure whether this has been addressed by the national media yet.
Houston ABC affiliate KTRK is reporting, via its political blog, that Congressman-elect Nick Lampson (TX-22) will be undergoing further testing tonight after walking into St. John's Hospital on Thursday evening complaining of stomach pains. He began feeling ill after eating dinner earlier in the day.
Lampson and his family had been planning to leave on holiday vacation earlier today, but they have apparently changed their plans — according to this jarringly tasteless release from KTRK's political wire:
(Note: the exclamation points are not mine.)
Lampson will spend 2nd night in the hospital!
First on the KTRK political blog: Congressman Nick Lampson will be spending a second night in the hospital, for additional testing! Sources close to the campaign say doctors are trying to determine exactly what to do next, and the type of testing that will be done. He is said to be resting comfortably, as reporters are camped out in front of the hospital. Stay tuned for more!
I'll stay tuned to this local story until it resolves, or goes national. Until then, best wishes for a speedy recovery to Congressman-elect Lampson and his family.

According to Fort Bend Now, Lampson is being treated for a blocked coronary artery:
Congressman-elect Nick Lampson was treated Friday for a blocked coronary artery, is expected to fully recover and resume his normal schedule after the Christmas holidays, a spokeswoman said Friday evening.
Lampson, D-Stafford, was admitted to Christus St. John Hospital in Nassau Bay on Thursday night, after complaining during dinner that he was not feeling well.
Lampson spokeswoman Carrie Chess said early Friday the congressman was feeling fine, under going test and likely would be released that morning.
Scary — but essentially good — news.
