It's really too good (awful) to be true, folks. Following the revelations that my congressman, Rep. Randyduke Cunningham of California's 50th District, was allegedly bribed through a real-estate deal which paid him, oh, about twice as much as his house was worth through a Cunningham-favored defense contractor (awarded millions in contracts, many classified) called MZM, Inc.'s CEO Mitchell Wade, we now know also that Cunningham lives in Washington on a boat at the waterfront owned by the company. All of this is now being investigated by the FBI.
Here comes the good part:
(continued below the fold)
The boat on which Cunningham lives is named the
"Duke-Stir." That's right, folks, a defense contractor which "owns" a congressman keeps him on a boat which is actually a synonym for "a floating prison for Randyduke Cunningham," letting him out only to approve their defense contracts or to shout random anti-gay epithets as "values cover." This leaves 50th District voters wondering, "When do we get a congressman?"
I understand MZM has even agreed to pony up to change the name of the federal prison where Cunningham will likely spend a good portion of his remaining tenure on earth the "Duke-Stir" should he be convicted.
For those who are interested, Cunningham's phone numbers are:
WASHINGTON: (202) 225-5452
ESCONDIDO: (760) 737-8438, (858) 755-8382
I've been calling every day asking him to resign; please help, and thanks in advance.
