"First of all, regarding Iraq, the time has come for the President to stand up and say what the plan is: How and when American forces are going to be able to come home or be repositioned elsewhere in the region. Most of us know the United States cannot just withdraw immediately, because that would lead to a civil war and a terrorist state. But there needs to be a strategy and a framework, and the President has never said what that is. "
That was an exerpt from my Senator's letter responding to the SOTU address.
My question for Senator Feinstein is,
Why do we have to stay in Iraq to prevent what is already happening there? If we were preventing terrorism and civil war, wouldn't that be dandy, unfortunately, we're not.
Where is the oversight? How can you lend support to a war where you have no oversight over the money or the policies. Are we being robbed for billions of dollars? Who knows?
You have no input on policy. Do you know what kind of economic and political influences this administration is peddling in Iraq which is feeding into this long conflict?
You have no oversight. You can't even get them to ban torture. Why do you go along with this?
Have you not yet learned that this administration will lie to you? How can you support them when you can't believe anything they say? Why do you ask Bush for a plan when his plan will be another lie? You may want to think the best of everyone, but Senator, when has this administration ever been honest and forthcoming?
Please represent the good people of California and stop supporting the illegal activities of the Bush administration.
Senator, please, don't get fooled again.
