Dana Milbank needs to get out more often. He is emblematic of the "media" that reports to us exactly what we should be thinking. However his column is filled with a plethora of Republican talking points. If I didn't know better, I would expect that he and Jeff Gannon share a checking account. Here is his a snip:
To some, this might be cause for celebration. But not to Democrats. Beaten in the last three election cycles, the party has a serious insecurity complex. Convinced they will face another disappointment in November, Democrats are already busy figuring out who among them should be blamed for the inevitable defeat.
And he goes on to regurgitate Republican talking points about Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, Joe Biden, John Kerry, Al Gore and others:

In his column he completely absolves himself of any responsibility to accurately report why his impressions are not in any way based in reality. He completely misses the fact that Americans are disgusted by the Administration's complete failure to the Constitution and the American people. Here is the letter I wrote to him. Please take some time and share your thoughts with him as well:
Unbelievable that a "columnist" would take the low road and regurgitate the Republican talking points as if they were some kind of scholarly analysis of the current state of affairs in the Democratic Party. You do give some lip service to the fact that the Republicans have many negatives against them as well in this election cycle.
But I wonder, when are YOU going to make the real effort to point out that a Republican government has been a total failure to the Constitution and the American people? When are YOU going to let your readers know what really is happening among Democrats, Progressives and Republicans who don't even recognize the party they belong to? When are YOU going to educate your readers that there are millions of Americans who aren't interested in the "blame game" (as your Republican friends like to say), but actually care what can be done to right the wrongs that have gone on for the past five years.
Maybe you should get out a little more often. By allowing itself to be manipulated by the Bush administration, the American media has been more of a failure (if that is possible) than the Bush administration.
So before you start publishing "thoughts" that are hardly your own, how about if you came up with something original?
