So, Vernon Robinson, the self-described 'Black Jessie Helms' is dropping his bid for the Republican nomination in North Carolina's 12th Congressional district. He's gonna run for the GOP nomination in (and 'hopefully' run against Brad Miller) the 13th District instead. Shocking details on the flip!

The Charlotte Observer
Vernon Robinson, a perennial Republican candidate and former Winston-Salem city councilman, decided before the noon filing deadline to run in the 13th Congressional District instead of the 12th District.
Robinson spent nearly $3 million to reach a congressional primary runoff in the 5th District two years ago before losing to eventual winner Rep. Virginia Foxx in the strongly Republican district. He decided soon after filing opened Feb. 13 to challenge incumbent Democrat Mel Watt, chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus.
The thing is, Vernon lives in Winston-Salem, which is spilt between the 5th and 12th districts. The 13th district begins in Greensboro and ends in North Raleigh(or begins in North Raleigh and ends in Greensboro, depending on your perspective). Is Vernon so hard up to win a political office that he'll relocate, or is he content running for a district that extends over 100 miles from his home? I wouldn't be shocked by the latter, but almost nothing the GOP does shocks me anymore. Except, y'know, Cheney shooting a man in the face.
