Just a Pop TV Icon? No, Al Lewis was a Great American: never still, actor, entrepeneur, outspoken, always pushing his personal envelope, sometimes pushing society's, running as a Green Party candidate against Pataki at age 90 (!). Al Lewis was The Real Deal to the same extent germs like Bush and all the poseurs like him are not.
