What really amazes me about the Democratic Party is their inability to effectively use the media. Admittedly, they don't have a Fox Network at their disposal, but just because they don't doesn't mean that don't have options; they just need to get imaginative. As an example, the Democrats had an opportunity to respond to the President's State of the Union Address, but instead of a dynamic response they went for logic voiced by Mr. Kaine a/k/a Mr. Blando. While Mr. Kaine's speech was on point, it left no impression. How about a response simply playing a clip of Mr. Bush's comments during a staged event in 2004 in Buffalo where he said that America needs a warrant before they eavesdrop and then saying "America can do better than this." Perhaps one of the Senators on Monday could run the same clip and ask the Attorney General whether the statement made by Mr. Bush was a lie. More after the fold:
Another thought: What if at the State of the Union Address every Democrat, or even one of the more prominent ones, held up a sign that said "We Saved Social Security". That would have played real good on TV. I have others, but here is what I would propose, offer suggestions below and I'll send the whole lock and stock of suggestions to every Democrat in the House and Senate. Maybe, just maybe, some of them will start using the media for their advantage. Kind of like a product placement in movies. We don't have control of the media, but they are easily manipulated, one need only look to see that this
is the truth.
