Now, who's really full of anger? For Mehlman to call Clinton full of anger is like a guy holding up a picket sign "AIDS cures homos" protesting at being called a homophobe.
In the last few days, the Chairman of the Republican Committee, the handler of Bush and his cronies -- and a man who I have been told sacrificed his personal beliefs to promote new idols for frustrated neo-cons who insist on voting for the same people who screw them out of their factory jobs "cause pappy used to vote for `em" -- has called Senator Clinton as "far left and full of anger." What makes me wonder is how can a man who has claimed to be intelligent in public, not hear his own, blatant intellectual dishonesty?
No matter how far to the left a progressive candidate would lean, anybody that Mehlman and his crew push forward to be the next presidential nominee would have a record of being far right and appearing on shows intended to incite hatred towards anyone who doesn't share the view of the most radical neo-cons. Most of their possible nominees have appeared on the rageful scream-fests of permanent neo-con PMS that are Fox News pundit hours like the O'Liely Factor and Hannity Yesman and his Traitor, err... I mean Hannity and Combs.
Everybody in his administration has implicitly agreed with the assessment of right wing pundits that anyone who is not supporting the administration is a traitor. They don't have to come up and praise any of their hired talking heads for calling moderates and progressives not sold on wars and illegal domestic spying as "unpatriotic and virtually treasonous." They just have to do what they did. Utter no contradictions and keep talking about the need for the administration to go as apeshit as it wants to "protect the homeland," a phrase they stole from the English agency designed to combat Nazi invaders during World War 2.
So when the elections start, I sure hope that moderates and progressives will remember that all of the RNC goons have been calling Americans with a brain and analytical skills traitors and recognize that no matter what, a bunch of neo-cons who openly hate gays, people of other religious faiths and trample over the civil rights of others, will always have a track record worse then even the most rageful progressive.
Senator Clinton is not just angry about the existence of RNC, she is mad at their discriminatory practices, their lies and their obvious bigotry. And during no time in American history has it been considered unjust to speak out against hate, bigotry and threats that smack of dictatorial egomania.
