I recently exposed, at length, to the new Medicare Part D Perscription Benefit program.

I am now convinced it is the single most powerful political story of this election cycle.
The recent crashing of Bush's numbers are easily understood when you take a long look at this insane mess the Republicans created. It is the one political issue that ties-up the Republican Congress and the Republican White House into a single political disaster of incompetence and greedy corporate cronyism all at the expense of the most important voting block in any election.
And the odd thing is this: It is not an outright usurpation of a senior's ability to obtain prescription drugs. In fact, it actually works to help millions who have struggled with payments in the past. That is a fact, but it is the same thing as saying that most of Iraq is not a violent place. It does not matter. What this plan does to million of voting Seniors who expect to access medical help without having their brains twisted inside-out can not be fully measured until this November. Without the Democrats lifting a finger it will cost the Republicans the House of Reps. If the Democrats can just make a cogent argument that Part D is the pinnacle of everything that is wrong about the GOP, they may end up with a veto proof House and Senate. I kid you not.
