Rasmussen did not update until quite late today. They usually update by noon, but today did not post until sometime after 4:00.
The results? A new low for Bush in this Republican leaning poll.
The details found below:
Saturday March 18, 2006--Forty percent (40%) of American adults now approve of the way George W. Bush is performing his role as President. That matches the lowest level ever measured by Rasmussen Reports.
Fifty-nine percent (59%) disapprove.
The President earns approval from 73% of Republicans, 16% of Democrats and 27% of those not affiliated with either major party.
Bush Job Approval
Strongly Approve 20%
Somewhat Approve 20%
Somewhat Disapprove 16%
Strongly Disapprove 43%
Dailykos followers have been hearing about or suggesting a tipping point for years now, but I think maybe it is finally here. Bush has moved from icon to object of disdain in the public view, and I don't see how this can be turned around. Too bad it didn't happen sooner.
