Last night, the Indiana Pacers retired Reggie Miller's jersey (hey, no troll rating from Detroit or NY, eh? I see you, Spike Lee...). Our Governor, Mitch Daniels was there in person. For those of you who aren't familiar with our bitch Mitch (his campaign slogan was "Our Man Mitch" with these obnoxious bright green bumper stickers everywhere), he was a budget director at the beginning of pretzel boy's administration. At which point, instead of being promoted to chief of staff for his rampant fiscal irresponsibility, he was sent back to Indiana to become governor. Hurray for us!
Anyway....(but wait, there's more...)
....when he was introduced, he was booed. Audibly. Enough that it was clear on TV. And at another point, he was booed again. This is red, Red, RED Indiana folks, at a Pacers game (not really a DFA hang out, you know) and our Republican governor was booed. Loudly. By the whole crowd. Twice.
Now, granted, Indy's democratic mayor, Bart Peterson, made a taped appearance that was also booed some, but not as roundly and soundly as Mitch. Was it because Bart wasn't there in person, or because the folks in the luxury seats wanted it to be fair and balanced? Don't know. But I'm hoping this indicates that Indiana, while not blue by any stretch of the imagination, is at least having a serious case of "Throw the Bums Out," which in the case of IN-02 (Count Chocula), IN-06 (Mike Pence--Go Barry! Go Barry!), IN-8 (Nut job John Hostettler) and IN-9 (Bush asskisser Mike Sodrel), those bums need to go with a swift kick on the way out!
