We continually hear suggestions about how to frame, state or otherwise bring up issues. I have a number, and will, depending on the response to this first one, indicate some framing for important issues.
Issue 1: Social Security
Social Security should be a huge issue, but we are letting the Repukes skate on this one. Here is my frame:
If Republican Congressman X is re-elected/elected, the Republican Party will continue their plan to "fix" Social Security. Their plan: They will "fix" Social Security just like the Medicare drug plan was fixed. And when they are done "fixing", it will be entirely broken.
Short, pithy and couples Social Security to Medicare. For older voters, this should be an especially useful frame, because of the ridiculous debacle that Medicare is turning out to be.
Please contribute your idea of the appropriate way to clearly state this issue.
