Tell me why this is a bad idea. Seriously, I'm not being a smartass. I think I have a good idea and I seriously want someone to tell me its fatal flaw. I'm sure it has one because it seems way too simple.
Here and
Here are some of the questions found on the INS Naturalization Test. They're actually pretty easy if you did well in Social Studies and History class. According to the website in the second link it takes about 2 years to complete the naturalization process.
So here is my idea.
If the applicant serves a tour of active duty overseas (we'll say 4 years) they're granted U.S. Citizenship.
Why not right? If it takes two years to fill out forms and take a test, why cant someone spend 4 years in combat defending our country? That shows more loyalty in my opinion, that shows they're committed to hardwork and sacrafice. They'll get a basic education, learn valuable job skills and when they get back they'll be complete citizens which means no more slave wages.
Obviously like anyone else they'd have to meet the basic military requirements. But why wouldn't this work? With recruiters missing their quotas you'd think someone in Washington would have thought of this?
Take my poll and leave me comments, I'm just spitballing and I'd seriously like to get everyone view on this.
