Republicans are starting to see the light.
Chuck Hagel is now saying that Rumsfeld doesn't command the respect of our military.

Sen. Chuck Hagel said Monday he shares the lack of confidence in Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld separately voiced by six retired generals.
"The concern I've had is, at a very dangerous time, (the) secretary of defense does not command the respect and confidence of our men and women in uniform," Hagel said.
"There is a real question about his capacity to lead at this critical time," he said.

Could this be the start of something beautiful? Could this give republicans the intestinal fortitude to start an investigation of bush? One can only hope.
What it does say, however, is that the tone is changing, if only slightly, and that there are republicans out there who are going to be campaigning with the same strategy as Democrats...which is to say, "We need to check bush's power." To this I must simply ask, "Where the fuck were you the last five years, Hagel?"
