Where shall I begin? In France, so I've heard, it's supposedly just the opposite: if you aspire to hold any form of public office, you'll need to have had at least one extramarital affair "under your belt". I've also heard it's not the fact that Clinton had an affair that makes him despised, but the fact that he got caught...
The last statement contradicts the first, for how else would the public ever come to know about it? However, since we all know we should never put all our faith in any form of stereotype, I presume this contradiction is of little significance and that the first statement is indeed true.
I hope I'm not leading anyone to pursue a course of action that may or may not cause the break-up a good relationship. Let's be clear: I am not advocating cheating on your partner just so that you may one day hold a public office in France. I also do not support having an affair (just for the fun of it) if you are a normal Joe or Joelina. However, if you are a President (not a candidate!) please, by all means, go to it.
If, for example, each time when you look down into your pants or attempt to draw a bit of pride from the apparent deepness of your voice, you find you are, by its very defintion, a "man"- though somehow feel you're being treated like a 9-yr-old spoiled brat rich kid who always gets his way, please do not do what I'm about to explain: Please do not invade a country under the pretext that women-folk are going to pass down tales of your chivalry to following generations. Just go get a blow-job. Afterwards you'll probably feel like a man, too. Plus, you may find that some of the tension has disappeared from your everyday work schedule. As a result, you generously make the decition to give a country a few extra chances to comply afterall. The good thing about this method is that many more people will eventually reach adulthood (perhaps also getting to experience a bit of the joys which go along with it).
What's more, the more people you leave alone, the more chances you have to be admired by others as time goes on.
