Some weeks ago
I posted a question in my blog about my idea to arranage a conference for women-bloggers in Sweden.
I posted it in my Swedish blog and got an enormous response. A lot of women-bloggers found the idea good and many also wanted to organise and plan it.
When I got this idea I was, of course, inspired of BlogHer in US, where I am going to this summer.
Yesterday we had our first meeting to plan this Conference.
It was some very competent women-bloggers who joined this planning-meeting, so I am confident about that we will really make this Conference come true.
The date for it is preliminary set, next week we will be sure. The Conference will be in October or November this autumn, probably in Västerås, a city now so far from Stockholm.
And we have a lot of ideas about what to put on the schedule, about writers who blogs, about how to handle Troll on the net and disgusting comments, a workshop for newbies and a workshop about podcasting and a workshop for videoblogging.
We have of course already started an email-discussion-list for all involved organisers.
As soon as we are sure about which name this Conferance will have we will set up a blog about.
The name we want to use is BlogHer Scandinavia - but we have to be sure that the organiser of the big och huge BlogHer dont mind.
We have decided to try to make our Conference interesting for all scandinavian women-bloggers.
As BlogHer our Conference is for supporting women in the world of Bloggers, but men who support this are welcome to the Conference.
