IS it too late?
"I just don't believe in the right to privacy in this country," said Justin Morgan, 21, a junior at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a resident of Crofton. "If you live in a nation, you're part of a group and you have to contribute to that group. On campus, I am pretty much a part of a community, and some things I have to give up to get benefits."
first the above???? next the below?
"Nearly all children nowadays were horrible. What was worst of all was that by means of such organizations as the Spies they were systematically turned into ungovernable little savages, and yet this produced in them no tendency whatever to rebel against the discipline of the Party. On the contrary, they adored the Party and everything connected with it... All their ferocity was turned outwards, against the enemies of the State, against foreigners, traitors, saboteurs, thought-criminals. It was almost normal for people over thirty to be frightened of their own children." --pg 24 -- 1984

I know people are writing about this, but I can't stress enough that I do NOT think that the gov't has ANY right to data mine our personal records. AMERICANS personal records. And it's truly scary that the YOUNGER generation does not even seem to care.
It scares the shit out of me that we have bill o'reilly saying this will be a one day issue.
It scares the bejesus out of me that NPR last night has an "expert" on the radio saying that "this could be ok"
It scares the hell out of me we have republicans in the congress saying "WE'RE AT WAR" and using THAT as a reason to SPY on said americans.
It scares the crapola out of me that there will most likely be more stonewalling and no answers will ever come out of any "committee."
It scares the shit out of me that everytime there seems to be a break to crack this administration, things are sealed up in the name of "national security"
It scares the bullocks out of me that attorney general gonzalez said during questioning that the NSA was doing wiretapping on a "small scale", but somehow that includes ALL americans.
Please call your Senators today and tell them you will NOT stand for this.
Thanks for reading.
I'll end with a Orwell quote.
If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.
