I cannot believe what I just saw.
Tom Delay's Legal Defense Fund has created a website seeking donations to cover his expenses. It comes with VIDEO too!
The hilarious and painfully ironic twist in this is the fact that he is using Stephen Colbert's satirical interview with Producer/Director Robert Greenwald (Outfoxed, Uncovered: The War on Iraq) to actually support and promote his cause. Of course we all know Robert Greenwald and his work (In the future, I am sure we will be hearing much more about this man), and even share our cathartic dose of Colbert's witty and ironic satire. Therefore, we know this is all a joke. It is a spoof, a mockery of the pseudo-intellectual/digital tough guy, Bill O'Reilly.

Apparently, Tom Delay does not understand this level of humor. He is literally taking Stephen Colbert seriously, and demonstrating this by using Stephen's video on his own website.
Am I missing something here? Is the joke on me? I have more than one theory here, but I am not in the mood to explain it in detail, it's too sad. The gist of it is that we are dealing with a dying movement that is so arrogant and presumptuous that they are actually missing the point.
It is my humble opinion that Cliff Notes were invented for people like this. Now I truly understand how "W" acquired a degree from Yale and an MBA from Harvard. He used Cliff Notes and other people to do the work for him. Scary!
