One of my CAW's regular commentors pointed me to a call "Alice from Missouri" made to Rush Limbaugh.
It was awesome.
Rush was talking about the Patrick Kennedy thing (I know - big surprise there). Anyway, he was talking about equal treatment before the law - why isn't Cynthia McKinney above the law (the way the Kennedy's are), he asked. At the same time, he was feigning "compassion" by pointing out that Kennedy was clearly a man that needed "help".
Alice called in and immediately began to take Rush to task fro excusing the behaviour of the privilidged class. Rush defended himself, and then Alice dropped the megatonnage...
Paraphrased:
Alice - "Well, Rush, you got off because you had money - just like the Kennedy kid."
Rush - "The two situations aren't comparable. I wasn't even charged."
Alice - "Because you could afford to pay lawyers that kept you from having to face charges. What happened to the houskeeper with the shoebox full of pills that you met in the parking lot?"
Rush beat a hasty retreat, hung up on her and cried about people that hold him accountable.
