You should be proud. . .no. . .really. You should be proud of what you say and write here. In response to a neocon friend of mine criticizing the site, I scraped together a few facts so I could tell him to shut his conservative piehole. Take a look at how DailyKos stacks up against the Republican competition:
DailyKos.Com as of the time I write this, has an average of
544,161 unique visits a day.
A "popular" conservative blog-site, Powerlineblog.com, boasts an average of 66,314 unique visits a day.
Another "popular" conservative blog, RedState.Com, fields an average of 19,542 unique visits a day.
MichelleMalkin.Com averages 143,766 visits a day.
The top-ranked political blog, according to RightWingNews.Com is Instapundit.Com, Glenn Reynold's site. It receives an average of 130,022 uniqute visits a day.
Heck. . .RightWingNews.Com ITSELF, has an average of 9,340 unique visits a day.
Just for the heck of it, let's throw in some other "popular" conservative blog sites. . .How about LittleGreenFootballs. . .86,325 unique visits a day.
GateWayPundit comes in with 9,918 unique visits a day.
GOPBloggers has 1,116 unique visits a day.
Conservative blogger BillHobbs.Com boasts 1,412 unique visits a day.
If you combine the numbers of unique daily visits of ALL of the conservative blogsites listed above, they total 467,755. . .still 76,406 short of the daily visits that get made to DailyKos.Com.
Want some more? Here ya' go. . .
DailyKos now reaches more people every day than Free Republic, the original Internet home of the right-wing noise machine. Daily Kos crossed into the top 2000 highest ranking sites according to Alexa.Com, around the same time that Free Republic fell out of that group.
Since April, DailyKos has exceeded NewsMax in readership.
DailyKos even has a larger readership than some large regional newspapers' web sites, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Dallas Morning News.
Dismiss it if you want, but the numbers don't lie. . .and neither will the numbers in November when the Republican party OFFICIALLY becomes in Congress what we all know it is throughout the remainder of America. . .the minority party.
