I can't think of 9-11 without remembering a memorial then erected in an Iraqi public square. It was a huge billboard showing an interview of Madeline Albright (Secretary of State to the "I Feel Your Pain" Administration) and her response to questions on the profound Iraqi losses-- that would be 500,000 kids under 5 years old. Her comment: "It Was Worth It." Was it?
We were all o.k-- or so we thought but, we learned (or should have) the *HARD WAY! consequences for our recklessness CAN! reach us ...even from a peasantry that far away. Think Jr.started the war in Iraq? Actually, his father, Bush Sr. probably did but it was *in the 90's that 200+ airstrikes leveled the infrastructure of Iraq followed by a protracted, genocidal embargo. There was little left to support life. When several U.S. officials came home to the states begging Clinton to relent, telling
him they didn't have the stomach for the suffering, he refused. They quit. The real question: How could *NAFTA's fallout-- the reckless trans-national assault ignited in the *90's-- have FAILED!! to galvanize the shabby insurgency that went on to evolve into the sophisticated! network capable of organizing 9-11?
There's no way now for Hillary to distance herself ----from *that war, nor from the war lost by democrats--the Republicanization of America orchestrated and drowned out behind a lotta rhetoric and the Iron-Curtain, "Monica-Saga". *Today, there is no *semen and no "infamous" blue-dress, nothing to take the heat off our party leadership who *still masquerade as democrats... He said I'm a "Uniter--Not A Divider" and other feel-good, warm & fuzzy things, but the King of Mergers subordinated our party under Hard-Right Leadership and did away with the two-party system. C'mon my democratic brothers & sisters, what about a little common sense-- "lesser of the evils?" .....Bush longs for the "heads up" among republicans but our former president, the consummate political strategist, -- was/is a *hard-right act to follow. Republicans (except for a minority of not too bright fundamentalists) look on approvingly, to date, but *very! quietly. I mean what was/is there to say --the whole laundry list of their wildest dreams delivered by the president who called himself a "democrat" --talk about gift horses. Poor George-- can't take much, if any credit for himself --the table was *lavishly set--before he took office, and he's got to admit, like it or not, he never could've done it-- without Bill. It's gotta be embarrassing to be upstaged by the (so-called) "opposition" and seen as comparatively ineffective by the republican orthodoxy. I'm sad about the liberties he took and might be tempted to take --to keep up with the "democrat." And I worried at the end of Clinton's tenure, about the liberties *the president who followed him might be comfortable with--now that so many of the people's resources were spent/sacrificed in Bill Clinton's struggle for power, ---
The election of '92 and '96 *both!! were fraudulent because of a blackout of news regarding candidate Clinton's extreme conservative undertakings as far back as the 80's when he militated as Chairman and master strategist of a small group of extreme conservatives, the DLC. Their calculations were ambitious, obsessive and single-minded: take out the democrats, takeover our party and our two-party system in the bargain. There was then and still is a deliberate mission to suppress the information needed for voters to make informed decisions, from an an honest count on Nafta (we had no clue what it would mean to us) to deregulation and his Pro-Corporate Smorgasbord. When he bragged to Republicans "I hurt the people who voted me in" I was *Ouch!, one of them. Behind the, second-rate soap opera from which he would emerge acquitted and the richest politician in the memory of most Americans, he redefined us as a Rogue Nation in the developed universe, an Empire emerging as the People's Enemy No. 1-- to billions.
Forget your party or for that matter, democracy. The free press is the heart of America (any democracy). Now, dismantled by his Telecommunications Act of '96, we have the Media/Clinton Alliance (that is G.E., AT&T, Disney, Hill & Bill) in its place. Until we have an informed populace you'll continue to *learn the propaganda-du jour & cast, silly votes against yourselves. Fake News Anyone? They'd like us to think it's *our problem because we're too dumb! to know what's good for us but when the people have no clue What the Hell Is Going On! an "honest" election, is just not possible.
