Every single day, without fail, some politician or pundit accuses Democrats of promoting a 'Cut and Run' policy Iraq. Doesn't really matter what the actually policy any Democrat might be advocating: if it does not toe Bush/Cheney's 'Stay the Course' line, you can bet it will be labelled 'Cut and Run'.
Next, the reporters covering the story will write their little 'balanced' articled noting the the Dems have been accused of wanting to - quote - Cut and Run - unquote - in Iraq. What is our retort? "They don't have a plan!" Hmmm.... let's just say that if we all were playing Yo Mama, we'd be losing this game of insults.
What can we do about this baseless smear with which we, our party, and our leaders are being browbeaten? The answer, after the flip
'Sacrifice the Troops'
No, that is not what we want to do... that is what Republicans want to do. No timeline? More IEDs? Yep, Sacrifce the Troops. See - instead of discussing policy, Repugs whip out their Rove-approved snap 'Cut and Run! Cut and Run!'. Stupid, but effective.
No we have a snap of our own. Republicans don't want to bring our troops home, they don't support the troops, the Bush sycophants (congress, media, pundits, and the 101st keyboarders) all want to - say it with me - 'Sacrifice the Troops.'
Now, if we can get our pundits, bloggers, and congresscritters to start repeating this simple (but accurate) three-word phrase with the same abandon and repetitiveness as the dirtbags' Cut and Run, we have a chance in this media rhetoric fight.
